I'm a male in my 20's and I just loooove knee boots, the lace-up ones, best footwear ever !! I used to have combat boots but don't like them ,I just prefer the nicer, women's boots, like a dress lace-up boot, with low, block heels (no more than 2" high),and actually I got myself 2 pairs already, quite expensive,1 in black leather and 1 in brown, they are great, and some tight jeans to go with them, it's just that when I think about going out wearing them,I get so,so nervous !!! I just can't go.....as I think what others will say....?? my own folks,etc...but I just die to wear them....

If YOU love them, and you think you look awesome in them---wear them! If you carry yourself with confidence when you wear them out, it'll show, and others will think you are one confident son of a b****! (I mean that in a good way!)

Hey I wear heels out sometimes and I wear higher ones that that. I still get nervous but hell I live in the bible belt where every other person has a shotgun in there truck. But honestly how many people are gonna look down at your feet anyway. And of the ones that do how many do you think would have the balls to say anything or even care in the first place. do it hell. women had to fight to wear pants even though not all women wanted to. and a lot of guys are now raiseing those same questions about men's equality.

You need to put them on and get in your car and drive someplace like a mall and walk around and be confident in yourself. If you are comfortable that is all that matters, no one else's opinion should really have an effect on how you dress. We all have our own ways but it's these things in life that make us all different. You never know you might start a new trend. Go for it, be bold and just do it! If someone looks at you in a weird way just smile with confidence, and be happy then say hi to them and that will change there thought. The key to being comfortable is confidence in yourself, stand proud and do what you feel comfortable doing.

jeez, you shouldn't care what other people think of you. if you like them, you like them. if you went through enough trouble to buy them, WEAR THEM. don't care what people might say... they feed off of others misery. don't be nervous, be proud! just go out into the world and scream "i love these boots, and frankly, i don't give a damn about what you think of them!" trust me, you'll feel better as a person. this is basically my own personal philosophy that i LIVE by: "Be BOLD." come on, go out there and show the world what great taste in fashion you have!

Knee length boots (poleclimbers) rock!
Agreed...they can be expensive, but at the same time, you can get them fairly inexpensively (<$100) if you know where to look. You can also get some downright nifty boots that you don't have to be self conscious about.
How 'bout these...

look if you like to wear them then why does it matter what anyone else thinks????? i know a guy that like to wear kilts everywhere and when i say everywhere i mean to football games to the store, everywhere. it shouldnt matter what type of shoe you like to wear. if you act naturally then your family or friends wont even notice what are on your feet. you just have to feel confident about yourself. dont let others stop you from doing what you want.

Try some muckulucks. Native American over-the-calf mocs. I've been partial to these myself, but don't actually have a pair, yet.
