They can just go and get an apartment and don't need a reason. They don't need parental approval. They don't have to try and make it work with their parents or go back home or to a relative,. They can just leave for any reason and get a grant for an apartment, fully furnished, for themselves, usually a two-bedroom. In my community, anyway.

in the first place u have to be 18 to get a HUD asst. u must be able to sign a lease or legal contract (18 age)...Fully furnished apts went out years ago in most places..Sometimes it's not feasible for a WOMEN to stay at home with her parents. I was 23 when I got pregnant and I had to make the choice to either move out or let me dad also abuse my son.. I grew up that way.. no way was I letting my son grow up that way. and it takes a while to get assistance.. u don't walk into the office and them say "here's the key".. It took me 4 years and I was disabled with a disabled son but working and going to school.. they told me they didn't care if I was homeless, I had to wait my turn.. so, check your facts.

The welfare/public aid system in this country is a complete mess. It rewards people for being careless and not using birth control while punishing those that don't have babies that they cannot pay for. You're more likely to get government help if you spend ur high school years getting trashed and making babies than if u spend them working hard academically so that u can get into college and become a productive member of society. Got high and knocked up and need money? sure here's ur check... Worked hard and need help with ur college tuition so u can get a degree and have a positive impact on this country's economy? go away we only help those that don't deserve it... If smart people get no free rides in this country neither should dumb trailer trash..

Yes, and it pisses me off. Our gov't has too many programs that reward people who do wrong. People in jail get cable...I don't even have cable...it's b.s.
