I think it would be terribly hard on you to see all the newborn clothes, sockies, caps, and accesories....and then know that you would not get the chance to use these items on your child. You will be creating a memory that will only break your heart in the future....if you do give the baby up. It would also be hard for other people....who care about you....to know that they are buying items for a baby you aren't keeping. These people want you to be happy and probably totally support your decision. However, they wouldn't want to bring you sadness....and they would probably be at a loss as to what to purchase for this baby.
Make sure this is what you want to do, in your heart. I do not know anything about you, your station in life, or your ability to care for a newborn. But....I do know that having a child is one of the most miraculous things that can happen in someone's life. Wanting to share that joy with a couple that cannot have a child of their own is amazing....but it will be very hard. You cannot possibly prepare for the moment of seeing your child for the first time....it is undescribable. Likewise, I can't imagine what it will be like for you to let that child go. I am tearing up just thinking about what that may be like for you. PLEASE make sure you want to do this.....and have support and love around you when this difficult time comes.
My heart is with you.....I wish you the very best!

People have baby showers to celebrate their baby and you get "Showered" with gifts for the baby. If you are not going to keep the baby, it would be the adoptive parents that would have a shower or celebration. If it is an open adoption and you know the adoptive parents, you could always ask if you could be a part of the shower to help them celebrate their baby.

No I don't think you should have a baby shower because you will not be needing any of the gifts, but you could have a themed party like getting sexy back. Or you could still have a shower and send the gifts with the baby. You're call, but have some kind of fun. Good luck!

I had a little one bathe for all four of my youngsters. Like you, I now not had the prior little one's models while I had the following one. (My 1st three youngsters are 5yrs aside, the third one used to be a woman after which my final youngster is 7 yrs more youthful than my daughter.) If persons wish to deliver you a bath then allow them to. The rule is that you do not deliver your self a bath. But...It makes much less matters so that you can need to purchase. I see not anything mistaken with taking a shower for your entire youngsters. Is the first one the one one that is think to get this specified medication? I do not suppose so. Back within the day while persons had a youngster 10 months to a 12 months aside, you did not ought to have an extra bathe when you consider that you continue to had the little one stuff and so much little one models have been unisex-white dressing robes and diapers-however these days so much persons wait a few years or extra among youngsters, so that you grow to be wanting to switch the whole thing from the first or next move circular. It isn't written in stone to have most effective a million little one bathe. The persons who say that you just do not need an extra are both stingy, imply-hearted or simply did not get high-quality bathe presents themselves. ha ha ha. That is what you need to say to the terrible persons. Laugh it off and revel in your Shower or Showers.

NO you shouldn't
Why would you?
The baby shower is to receive gifts to help you out with the baby.
Don't get me wrong i also think its about celebrating a baby.
I also think it would be pain full to receive gifts for something your not going to be able to have.
If you want to celebrate being pregnant, then why don't you have a little get together with your friends/relatives......just don't call it a baby shower.
Wait until your ready to have a child......Then have the baby shower. I don't know anything about your personal situation, But i think when you are ready to have a child, and you do have a baby shower, you wouldn't want to have the memories of this one. I think it would be pain full.

Why in the world would you have a baby shower? Don't you understand that a baby shower is a time when people "shower" the mother with gifts for the baby...things she will need to raise that baby. There is absolutely no reason for you to have a shower if you're giving the baby up for adoption...what are people supposed to do there, or bring to you?

why would you need a baby shower, a shower is to get things for the baby from relatives and friends, if you know the mother who is adopting your baby maybe you should throw one for her and get her friends and family there so that she has help but you should not have one if your not keeping the babe

If you're not keeping your baby I highly recommend not having a baby shower. By the sounds of it, you are a little too attached already!
It will just be harder for you to part when the time comes!
