Pretty much most of the time. However not for unselfish reasons. I do a lot of volunteer work with start up companies. Mentoring if you will. Helping the fledgling company get over the initial hurdles. Avoiding some of the obvious (to me) pitfalls. I get a lot more out of it than they do. To watch then succeed and grow gives me enormous satisfaction. And pleasure.
When it comes to a friend, a real friend, there is nothing I won't do. Again somewhat selfishly. I know they would do the same for me.
I can't be of service to everybody. But I do the best I can with the ones I select.
