I have yet to know any gay man (or lesbian for that matter) who were Buddist or Marxist. I know some who are Catholic, Baptist, Methodist, Lutheran, and quite a few who practice Wicca. But none of the two you ask of. Perhaps the ones you know have chosen these religions/belief systems because they say nothing hateful about gay/lesbian relations and feelings/orientation.

I do not personally know one Marxist or Buddhist that is gay, but then I live in a society where Marxists and Buddhists are a very small part of general population.

Most of them aren't Marxist/Buddhist, but Christianity isn't exactly most gays' preferred religion because of how much its evangelical followers hate us. If they accepted us, the proportion of Christian gays would approximately equal to the proportion of Christian straights.

Well I'm a Marxist but I'm not gay. Funny you should ask but, if it's true maybe it has something to do with many christians being intolerant biggots

That's not necessarily true. there are gay Republicans, gay Democrats, gay Jews, gay Muslims, gay Catholics, gay Episcopalians, gay Unitarians, gay Quakers, gay Baptists, gay Methodists, gay Mennonties, gay Lutherans, gay Hindus, gay Shintos, gay Zoroastrians, gay Mormons, as well as gay marxists and gay Buddhists. The list goes on and on, honey.
