Is he trying to say people from ackavistan are like him? This movie was all out strange and dreadful. The humor was childish and cliqued. Strange that it got great reviews.

no it wasn't about how they are all like him. its a humor about america, or funny things that happen when different cultures clash. what's funny in one culture, isnt' funny in another.

a good example, the joke that goes "my shirt is black...not". when translated to russian (which is the correct way a russian sentance is structured for my shirt is not black in english) it isn't funny.

obviously not everyone from kazeskstan (sp) hate jews and can have sex with any woman they want, that wasn't the true joke of the film. but someone will always get offended.

I believe he was poking fun at anyone and everyone. He himself was to be from khazikstan (no idea how to spell that) but the movie was made to offend everyone. Thats why its so huge-not one "clique" was left out. Everyone is all bent out of shape about it but my opinion is that the only reason someone should be upset is if they see some truth in what he said/did.

Borat is one of Sacha Cohen's characters on his TV show "Da Ali G Show" (Ali G is also one of his characters). If you don't enjoy his brand of humor, then don't watch his show/movie. It's as simple as that.

PS. Borat is from Kazahkstan, a real country in Asia.
