because the people who go to those places are not looking to go there to talk about their lives. they are going there to meet people, have a good time, and get "hooked up" (if you know what i mean). no need for conversations.

you are not there to listen to the music either. the music is so loud especially the bass because it is only there for you to dance to. so subconsciously you feel the rhythm in your head and just start moving to it. no musical thinking/timing required.

anyways, you are not there to comprehend the lyrics and relate it to your life.

i hate music when it is so damn loud.

Dj's are certainly almost deaf, they can't judge with their ears whether music is loud enough or not, so they rely on the vibration of the music to tell them it's loud enough, hence why they turn it up so loud that it vibrates everything within the room. No but on a serious note, loud music has a couple of benefits when it comes to clubs, the first being that it attracts the club goers in off the street, and secondly it provides an energetic atmosphere inside the club. Loud music gets the adrenaline going, the last thing a club manager or owner wants is a laid back atmosphere and customers relaxing down in his club, he wants people to get up and dance, work up a sweat then head to the bar for refreshments. All the while the manager/owner is raking in the profits, probably actually sat there in the office watching the figures go through the roof as the night goes on and rubbing his hands in glee like the grinch lol

Apparently clubs like it when music's that loud because, paradoxically, it promotes intimate communication. Really.

When it's loud, no one can hear what you're saying but the one person you're talking with; you have to speak right into their ear. So it's a very private conversation. That lets people open up and say things they wouldn't want the whole table to hear.

So yeah, I guess the people having that conversation appreciate the loud music. And of course lots of people like the music itself.

My suggestion: ear plugs. You'd be amazed at how many musicians wear them.

It's loud so that people can listen "extremely" clearly when they dance to it and sing along with it. I personally don't like it especially when standing next to the speakers, i can feel my whole body pounding.

To attract customers. The music is inviting as many would like to sway to the beat.

l honestly don't like it as the "noise" is way too deafening. l'm only hurting my ears that way.
