No. But if they had your mom, they would beat the Seahawks.

Even though Grossman had a bad game last week the Bears will still win and this is why:
1. They have the number 1 defense in the league.
2. The Seahawks are banged up in their secondary and with Berrian, Clark, and Muhammed Grossman will exploit their talents against an inexperienced secondary
3. Hasselbeck is one of the most over-rated QB's in the league.. he is not all that great and when flushed out of the pocket, he makes stupid decisions. The Bears will have at least 3 picks against him in that game.
4. Alexander won't get anywhere.
5. They got lucky that Romo botched the snap or they wouldnt have even beat the Cowboys.

Looking at the defense, Nathan Vasher and Charles Tillman are primed to return ... this is something that should send chills down Hasselbeck's spine since those two are vicious in the open field. Also, Ricky Manning seems to have Matt's number when they played last time (2 INTs during the 37-6 meeting in Week 4). With the BYE week, Chicago has been able to rest their starting defense, which should be ready for a tough test with Alexander coming into the fray. However, Tank Johnson and Adewale Ogunleye on the line will help the Bears make running tough for Shaun, as well as keep a massive ton of pressure on Matt. Also, you must never forget the power of Urlacher ... his presence is a game changer in itself.
Offensively, Grossman MUST SETTLE DOWN! If he can take his time and just work his short game (which is what he really didn't do in Week 17, but did in the few games prior to that), he should be able to stretch the depleted secondary of Seattle. Lofa Tatupu will be an imposing figure against Chicago, but target him with a rough ground game between Jones and Benson, both of whom could deliver solid performances each. If Mark Bradley can get himself together, look for twin GO routes with Bernard Berrian on the other side (Muhsin will still be primary, but look for his role to be concentrated closer to Grossman early on).
Gould and Hester have redefined the Chicago Special Teams Unit. Look for solid Gould kicking and extremely wicked returns from Devin in that game.
Although anything can happen during the playoffs (this weekend should attest to that), Chicago should dispatch the former NFC Champions once again and make their way to the NFC Championship game ... which will be another home game against the New Orleans/Philadelphia winner (which looking at the game prospects, the Saints should provide a more worthy challenge than the Giants did and end Garcia's magical run).
Chicago (33 - 17) [PREDICTION]

sorry but i don't think we need to "consider" the last game.
Let's just focus on what we got.
Honestly, going with Grossman is the only reasonable decision.
BUT. let's leave grossman out of this for a second.
The reality is that our defense has not been top notch the past half of the season!
Step up the defense, PRESSURE matt h.
and we go have a chance.
If we allow the seahawk's QB to throw freely without so much of a little bit of pressure... he will tear the bears apart!

Perhaps. Besides two passes to Stevens, Hasselbeck looked pretty bad. For a team with the top seed in the NFC, the Bears look beatable. They'll be the fave, but the Sea Chickens are a fair bet as the 'dog. However, I'll still take the Bears, 16-10.

Being at home and having a dominating defense goes a long way.
I'd give the Bears the edge, but if Grossman plays like he did against Green Bay....fuhgetaboutit!

The Bears have the full blown QB problem, but I think in a playoff game the defense and special teams will keep them close. I suspect whichever QB gives the Bears the best chance that day will get most of the snaps, and I suspect that one or the other will have enough, playing at home, to keep them playing another week.

Seahawks are charged up with energy after Saturday's historic game against the Cowboys. When the game comes, Bears will have not played in 2 weeks.
Seahawks played great and only lost to the best-in-entire-league Chargers in final minute in Week 16, played a great game and won in Tampa Bay in Week 17, and won against the at-one-point-argued-best-team-in-the-NFC Cowboys. Bears were embarrased at home by the Packers in Week 17, and almost lost the 2 games in Weeks 15 and 16 to bad teams (Lions, Buccaneers)
Seahawks are the defending NFC champions
Bears haven't won a playoff game since 1994. Seahawks won 2 playoff games last season.
Rex Grossman: 5 games this year with a QB rating below 40, including a 0.0, 1.3, and 10.2
Bears got a first round bye last year and lost in the first game
Although the Bears went 13-3 in the regular season, they had in my opinion an easy schedule, and lost a lot of close games. PATHETICALLY EASY SCHEDULE: 13 GAMES AGAINST TEAMS AT OR BELOW .500. And losses and lots of close games to bad taems: The week before their embarrasing regular season finale lost to the Packers at home, they won by only 5 at Detroit, the week before that, THEY ONLY WON BY 3 AT HOME AGAINST TAMPA BAY. 2 of their 3 losses were against teams at or below .500, the Dolphins (6-10) and Packers (8-8). In week 6 BEARS ALL BUT LOST TO THE CARDINALS. The Cardinals suck so much they blew the game. In week 3, Bears won at Minnesota (6-10) by only 3. Do you get the point? A schedule so easy it's no wonder they were 13-3, and a lot of close games to bad teams that they could have lost. BEARS ARE OVERRATED.
Even though he has been inconsistent at times and has had a rather off year, Hasselback's QB rating is higher than Rex Grossmans'
Bears were 6-2 at home in regular season, and who did those 2 losses come to? Dolphins, Packers. If they can beat the Bears at Soldier Field, certainly the Seahawks can.
Seahawks have arguably best clutch field goal kicker in league, Josh Brown
Seahawks have last year's MVP, Shaun Alexander. This has been an off year for him, DUE TO HIS MISSING 6 GAMES DUE TO INJURY. He still hasn't had a breakout game, and I think the time has come for one to happen.
Either Grossman has a really spectacular game, or a horrible one. Like I said, 5 games with QB rating below 40, (and 6 games below 65), yet 7 games with QB rating above 100. Key to Seahawks winning: GET HIM NERVOUS AND SHAKY EARLY. SCORE FIRST. PUT THE PRESSURE ON GROSSMAN. If he does not do great, the Bears are probably finished, because he's either really good or horrible. And if they take him out, and put backup QB rating in, they're still in trouble. BACKUP QB GRIESE HAS RATING 62.0. Not too good is it?
I believe the Seahawks can and will win this game. THE KEY IS TO SCORE EARLY AND PUT THE PRESSURE ON THE BEARS OFFENSE. Make Grossman nervous. Get him shaky early, AND GET HIM IN A BIG HOLE BEFORE HE HAS TIME TO REALLY GET WARMED UP. Try to win the game early. Protect the lead. Take the crowd out of the game.
You can do it Seahawks!!! I have faith in you guys. GO SEAHAWKS!

I think Grossman, unlike Romo, is smart enough to exploit the weak secondary. The bears D can actually compete unlike Dallas'. I honestly don't think Seattle has a chance.

They SHOULD be able to win if the D can learn how to domiate again, without the Tank around! Oh yeah I believe Grossman will be stable enough to win.
