I think they are awesome. I would think they open people's eyes about the dangers of smoking. If I were a smoker, I would probably think twice about lighting a cigarette after watching the commercial.

Well you hit a sore spot with me..But as far as the commercials I don't watch tv so they don't affect me. I have news for you and everyone that is anti smoking..Everything that you love can give you cancer ..from deserts to sex..But then the next report you find it says that you can get healthy doing or eating things they just said would kill you .I don't know the true results of smoking .I must admit that what has been found about it scares me at times..could account for my anxiety that surrounds me daily ..But..I remember my grandfather that was in great health until about a week before he died .. at 93 by the way ..Sitting on the porch of his house in the evenings laughing about the doctors that told him if he didn't stop smoking and drinking he would die..He outlived three of them .. stress killed them..so its a toss up who gets cancer and who does not..some it affects others it will never.. so its like stress..the number one killer in america is stress.. some people live to an old age because they just have a " whatever" attitude others die and early death because they are so scared something is going to kill them like cigarettes..They worry themselves into a heart attack..The media has made us a nation of hypochondriacs and worriers..Although I worked in the media for many many years.I was always told that blood and guts sales.. but didn't want to hear it.The media really has made us nuts with more emotional distress than anything that could ever make us that way .If you enjoy the commercials please feel free to let them continue to blitz you until you wont be able to breath the air ,drink the water, or smell the roses because you are frightened to death.

I'm 17 and I've been a smoker for about 3 years now. I'm not planning to quit but I know I will sometime in the future. The TRUTH commercials are very effective. They are just so in your face it's like "woah". My mother gets mad at them. She's the type of person to say "I've been smoking for 20 odd years, I havent gotten cancer yet! You're grandmother's 60 and she hasnt gotten cancer". She's a little ignorant. My favorite TRUTH ad is the one with the guy who is singing through a ( i dont know what it's called). It goes "You dont always die from tobacco. Sometimes you just lose a lung". Or something like that.

Yeah, I like the one where the cowboy rides through the streets of New York City, and everyone thinks he's gonna sing, then he starts playing the guitar and puts this vocal thing up to the hole in his throat and starts singing; only he's not really singing, because he smoked so much, he lost his voice permanently. He was singing something like "you don't always die from cigarette smoke, sometimes you just collapse a lung..." Those people's faces dropped!

I love them. They helped me with my research paper on how terrible smoking is. I want to do some of the things they do on there. They are educational and teach us about the dangers of smoking that I would have never thought. But most of all I hope it is helping people quit.

Am not a big fan...After watching it I actually feel dumber than I was before I had seen it...Complete waste of my time...I mean, I could be watching a "Man's Law" commercial...at least then I'll learn right from wrong...

They are creative, but...
Smoking is a choice. You CHOOSE to smoke - no one forces you to do so. It all comes down to personal responsibility, not blaming someone else because you can't put down your cigarettes.

They creep me out a little. The dangers of smoking are pretty much common knowlege now, but here we have a bunch of fanatics doing bizarre stunts on tv to let us know that smoking is bad.
Seems almost like propaganda from some foreign dicatorship.

Not Me.
Hey, what's with the thumbs down??? I answered the question honestly. Just because I don't appreciate being propagandized is no reason to derate me.
