well since you have set up the driver setting for the second one did you double check that the first one is set on master....ok then ...did the harddrive came with any cds or floppies? usually it would. you would need to do a formatt on the new harddrive it wouldnt matter if its fat32 or NTFS windows xp can read both.... or what operation system do you have on your pc....just follow the info on the cd its should be very straigh forward... IF it didnt came with a cd or floppy go to the manufactures website and look for the format software or how to install the harddrive tutorial...

NO! this products are no longer so good some situations on ebay, i recomend to speculate a litle funds on the micro center shop, purchase a seagate har force this expenses decrease than $80. for as much as 750gb extra and this variety has 5 yrs waranty. i do no longer think of you like the extra area best now. so extra perfect to start saving sopme funds and purchase it new. its wort it down the line, belive me ebay could provide u some undesirable studies, and the fee reductions are not that good in some deals, you get a inexpensive merchandise, however the diference is going on the delivery. playstation while setting up your new HD positioned on some anti-static gloves $5 greenbacks on the comparable shop. good success and desire to have help u to make a good decition.

you will need to check both hard drives with most newer machines running xp the hard drives should be set to cable select not master and slave, you can still set them to master and slave if you want to, my guess is that the original hard drive was set to cable select and then you put in one set to slave and it causes a conflict and your second drive doesn't show up
