Ok I have black hair and hairy arms. All my friends shave their arms and they think I should definetly shave mine. A lot of people have picked on me about my arms and I'm embarassed to wear short sleaves. I want to shave my arms, but im afraid of it growing back stubly like the hair on your legs. What should I do?

If I used nair then how would it grow back?

It would hurt a lot but I would say get them waxed. When you shave it causes the hair to grow back with a blunt end that will make it look like stubble. It will be prickly like your legs. Waxing pulls the hair out by the root so it will grow in soft.

No! If you shave your arms they will become like a man's face! I am a fairly hairy person and I use nair on my arms. It's so easy to use and the results are great! Also, if you can withstand the pain, try waxing. It gives the best results. Whatever you do don't shave them!!! Good luck:)

I use to shave my arms. But now I get them waxed. Because when you shave your arms, the hair will sometimes grow back stubbly and darker! Also your arm skin is more sensitive than your legs...so you make break out--a lot of in-grown hairs. SO I really do suggested you get them waxed...do not shave them!!
Plus, when you get them waxed...you don't have to worry about shaving them every other day! :o)

You can wax your arms. That way it takes 3 to 4 weeks to grow back. When the hair grows back it's much thinner. I hear laser hair removal is great but it's not cheap.

Dye the hair a lighter color where it is not as noticable. I know people with DARK DARK hair that dye their arm hair a blondish. Noone would think a think of it either. That's better than, shaving, waxing, ect.

God, no. Don't shave your arms. I've always found that deeply disturbing. Like a burned out forest or something.
People will always find something to tease you about. Twenty years ago, no one even cared about hairy arms. Be yourself, be proud, and save the time you'd waste conforming to a stupid standard.

I have never understood the obsession with having no hair on your arms. I have very dark brown hair on mine. I would feel very odd without it. I was born with it and it doesn't bother me in the slightest. I had a roommate in college who waxed hers off and I thought it was the most peculiar thing I have ever seen.

you can always use nair on them so that they won't be like when you shave ur legs. It'll save you the emabarrassment and you'll never get a cut there, which hurts.

No because if you do your hair on your arms will grow even longer and it will grow back really fast.
