i have four mollies i want to breed but i dont know how tell which sex they are can anyone help me and one of the mollies is a black molly

This article is for guppies, but breeding mollies is virtually the same process. Sexing them is the same as with guppies.

Just make sure that instead of 3 fish in a 10 gallon that I reccommend, you get a 20-30 gallon tank for your 3 mollies, since they get way bigger. The bigger the tank you get, the more room you have for fry.

the female are bigger and the male have a modified butt fin.
lets hope you have atleast 2 females and 1 male ratio because the male will bother the female alot.

The females tend to have a thicker body.

You need to sex them by looking at their anal fin (bottom fin). Males will be thin and sticklike (their gonopodium), females will look like fins.
