I've been with Netflix a long time. It takes a week for me to receive a new movie from the time I mail one in, but I live in BFE-Middle-Of-Nowhere. Even with the wait time, I consider it a good deal, because the selection is so much better than what I can get locally. And they have such a broad range of plans now, you can really tailor it to your needs. It averages to about $3 - $4 per movie, which is what you'd pay anyway (and you don't have to worry about when to return it). I've had a few movies over the years lost in transit in the mail, they accomodate for that and realize this will happen occasionally (mine eventually were received).

My only complaint is that you can't choose your distribution center. When I first started, my movies were going to/coming from CA, and the turnaround time was about 4 days (which I was pretty happy with). Now my distribution center is Las Vegas, which is closer geographically, but causes an extra two day delay because of the mail routing where I live. I emailed them and asked to be switched back, they said they couldn't accomodate my request. Oh well...

You can change your plan at any time, too, which I think is great.

Well, I'm on the 3 at a time unlimited plan, and I usually get 3 new rentals every week (as long as I turn in the 3)....I pay 17.99 plus a tax (it's different for each state) so for me it's 19.38 total each month. I usually drop off the movies in any US Postal box on a Monday before pickup and I get my new movies Wed or Thurs (same week)...I think it's paid off for me - I get the newest releases pretty fast - they're well stocked...I started in 2002, and at that time, the rates were over $21.00. Since then, I think there was an issue of overcharging, and they were forced to bring down their prices...I prefer getting these in the mail just because I don't have any video stores close by or on my way home from work...it's just so convenient!

Depends on the plan of course, but you'll find that 2 movies, for instance, is not enough and so you'll be suckered into getting a more expensive plan so that you can get unlimited movies at a time. I have the '2 movies at a time' deal, for I think $10.99...*i think* and it's pretty good.

I love the selection and the ease of slipping it back in the mailbox. The service is FAST! They usually receive my return the next day and then one is shipped soon after. It's very fast service.

I think it's definitely good.

Good luck!

my family has net flix, I forgot the cost, its pretty cheap though. there are no hidden costs! It's great for us cause we live in a small town and there and we can't get movies we want from the local store!

in your free trial time they will say you can get up to five dvds for free for about 2 weeks or so, but if you don't switch it back to the dvd plan you want it will charge you for the 5 dvds.

There are no hidden charges; you pay what they quote you.

Turnaround where I live is two-three days. They just scan the dvd when it's returned and tell their shippers to send the next movie in your queue.
