When at your local China-Mart do you ever look to see if the products you buy are made in the USA. I know many people do not care where the products they buy are made and that cost is most important, but there are many side effects to this thoughtless buying. I will admit that I never thought about the impact of buying import until I got into the business of robotics. I make a living buying and selling used industrial robots. I have worked very hard to try and help companies cut there cost by installing robots. Installing robots in there factory can greatly increase there production and reduce labor cost. I know that many people think robots take american jobs but it is better for a few jobs to be lost to robots then to have all jobs lost to low cost labor. I believe that this country is built on the middle class worker. They have to be saved. DO WE SUPPORT THE USA???

A lot of people dont wanna look at it like that. They should be more than obliged to support their communities and their country by buying american. They should take pride in what they do so that our manufacture goods can stand up against those from other countries. Made in America should mean something but for every person like us there will be some idiot on the news talking like the **** doesnt matter.

I saw a story about China-Mart on PBS. It was frightening. I remember when it was said that only US products were sold. That is no longer. They are selling junkier and junkier products and most from China. This film stated that CM dictates how a product will be made and what they will pay for it. Many of our companies are going out of business.
Trade deficit is a serious problem and yet, it goes on with so many countries. It is also difficult to realize which companies are US and which are not. We are doing ourselves in-in every manner possible.

There really is no such thing as an import when it comes to cars most are made in the states. A few companies still do like scion but, when it comes to everything else who really wants to spend the extra dollar to say HEY THIS A GENUINE AMERICAN PRODUCT, not me I work hard for my money and I could give a crap less. I have three cars a Honda, and two Nissan's and haven't had to do anything to them except normal maintenance and two of them have over 190 thousand miles. Everything made in the US falls apart faster LAZY PEOPLE WHO DON"T CARE!!!!!!!!

I do when I can, but most of the time I either cannot afford the US product or no one makes in the US. Also, some things lately made overseas are better quality. It's getting really sad.
