go to sephora and see what they have as they have the best selection. if you can afford it, get a highend set that is sold around christmas time. often they are travel size so the handles are shorter but the brush is the same. i know laura mercier and mac have them. as a set it is cheaper than to buy them all at once. as for a cheap quality set, target sells sonia k(can't remember the spelling of her last name) brushes which are very good. she is famous makeup artist that created her affordable line of cosmetics. if you are canadian, i would recommend quo at shopper's drug mart. keep in mind that the better the quality, the longer it will last. i have had my brushes for over a decade. it was worth the investment and the hairs never fall out.

As a professional Makeup artist I would recommend MAC cosmetics eye brushes, all of Kevyn Aucoin beauty brushes and my fav trish mcevoy brushes! They are all soft, from a decent price point to a bit more expensive.....quality brushes make a huge difference!!!!!

Hey, ELF cosmetics is amazing, everything is SO affordable and of nice quality. They have nice brushes. Check out www.eyeslipsface.com and look under tools for the brushes.
If you sign up for their little email list they'll send codes for free shipping and stuff. You can buy their makeup/tools online and target also sells it.
