I have not seen the movie but I did read the book. Still from what I understand they are similar enough to answer your questions.
1. the book is fiction and by definition not true. Some of the organizations exist but most were altered. Basically he took the work of conspiracy theorists and glammed it up a bit. None of the events portrayed by the characters are real of course. The artwork however is real but the interpretations of some of the works, "The Last Supper" for instance, were not the general consensus.
2. Anything could be true, especially in a relativistic universe. Is there any historical evidence for it? No, not at all. Jesus is just as likely to have been Gay and in love with Peter.
3. The Holy Grail has become a powerful literary devise especially to Arthurian Legends. It is an interesting concept and societies obsession with the idea is interesting. I might study it some day but I really don't have any opinions on the Grail itself.

1. The foreword of the book "Da Vinci Code" mentions it is factual. Of course the story and characters are fiction, there is no Mr. Robert Langdon. However, the location, the churches, the roseline, the paintings, the Priory of Sion and the Opus Dei are real. I personally been to Paris to visit these places and churches. Amazing.
2. It could be true. Dead Sea Scroll might have mentioned it. But Vatican might have supressed the truth as well. It is hard to prove til now. Can be argumentative.
3. Holy Grail, a cup or Mary Magdalene, it doesn't matter. Even if it is Mary, Christianity will still be the same.
Read the book, the movie kind of sucks. Must read!

1. The story itself is fiction BUT certain aspects are true. There really is an Opus Dei and The Priory of Scion did exist.
2. Who knows? The Bible is just a bunch of handed down stories that claim Jesus was the Messiah *waiting to be reported and a ton of thumb's down for that >_<* but it's just what you wish to believe. Mary Magdalen very well could have been married to Jesus and had a child.
3. If the Bible is true and accurate, then yes, the Grail is the sacred chalice that held Jesus' blood during the Last Supper. In my opinion, the Grail is a metaphor for the one thing or goal one most desires.

1. Not all of the things that happen in the movie are true. Opus Dei is real and and their 'practices' eg. torturing themselves with the silice are somewhat true, as well as the speculations that mary magadalen was jesus's wife and that she was infact the holy grail have some truth to them, however it hasn't been completely proven due to the concern and interference from the religious community. The Priory of Scion also existed etc.
2. I absolutely think the theory about mary magadalen being jesus's wife and her having his child is true.
3. I think mary magadalen and her child were the holy grail, because her child was the direct descendant from jesus the most loved and powerful man in the world, so certainly that child would be considered the absolute holy garil because he/she was in reality a 'piece' of jesus himself.

It not a movie based on fact its fiction, its the opinion of Leonardo DeVinci.
The theory could be possible, but we have not proof, I mean Jesus was human and man.
I say who cares about the holy grail, I dont think a space in a painting in the shape of a v indicates what the holy grail was anyway. Im not positive, but I dont recall anything in the Bible about a holy grail.

No, it's based on a fiction book, which means it is fiction.
I think there is a possibility that she was his wife, but I don't really think so.
I don't really have an opinion on the Holy Grail, just because I don't know a lot about it.

This book was written by Dan Brown, not Leonardo Di Vinci. And it is pure fiction. The "facts" he includes are inside the title page and are as fictitious as the rest of the book. But it does get you to questioning everything you were taught. And getting people just to think is a pretty good chore in itself. M/M could have been involved with Christ but that is really beside the point of the Crucifixion and Redemption. And we currently don't have a DNA sample from the Corpus Christi to use as an example to trace any relatives.
The Priory of Scion is a huge hoax perpetrated by a French Priest and a renowned hoaxer. The guy who claimed to have found the 'Document Secret' created it himself and had previously planted it in the French Hall Records.

The e book is historic previous with a fictional twist. He honestly stole information from the e book (an staggering e book) "Holy Blood Holy Grail" and become sued by way of the authors of HBHG. i'm no longer too pleased with the very shown reality that Dan Brown stole a lot information...yet he wrote a good e book. HBHG is totally historic previous, no longer a speck of fiction.
