Come on....can't you think of a better name than the alphabet???? Oh well, I just had to mention that. Like many others posted it depends on what part of the state you move to. The northern part is cooler (mountains) but you will have to deal with snow of course. Southern AZ is alot warmer and can get pretty darn hot in the summer (but the humidity is lower than Hawaii). Even so 115 to 120 is still HOT. Maybe you should do a little more research before you move...do you have a job here already? Come visit first and see for yourself. Good Luck!

I live in Mesa, Arizona now
I lived on Oahu awhile back.
Arizona will be both colder (morning lows in the winter are in the 30's) and hotter (summer highs are about 120) than hawaii and ALWAYS a lot more dry. Arizona is also not as green and forested as parts of Hawaii and is kinda looks like the dry side of any given island - except without the lava.
The Phoenix area (including Mesa, Tempe, Scottsdale, etc.) is a HUGE city and is very spread out with lots of things to see and do - museums, malls, stores, bars, restaurants, etc. but it also has some big city problems like traffic, pollution, crime etc...
other cities in other parts of Arizona will have less people and stores and stuff but in general may have more opportunity for outdoor recreation things...
let me know where in arizona you are moving too and maybe i could provide more details.
If I had to choose between living in Hawaii and living in Arizona I would probably pick Hawaii - but it just isn't possible for me right now.

Arizona is an amazing state, with a full range of climates... except ocean. It has the Grand Canyon, mountains with snow for skiing, hot deserts, and just about everything in between.
You'll find that any Spanish you've had in school will be invaluable, as there is a large Spanish-speaking population due to Arizona's shared border with Mexico. The native American influence is also very strong.
The cost of living may be less than Hawaii's, as food and stuff you buy isn't shipped so far. The landscape is also not as green and lush, nor is it very humid anywhere. When I was there, I always carried a water bottle because it's easy to get dehydrated and not know it.
Arizona's beautiful... you'll love it!

It depends on which part of AZ you're moving to. I lived in Phoenix for a while and I loved it. It's a great climate, and the majority of the people living there are friendly and interesting. There are also plenty of jobs, great schools, and really it's all around great city. Flagstaff is also a pretty decent area. Other parts of the state aren't all that fantastic, but you'll most likely find something you like about every part of the state. Good luck!

I live in Phoenix. Arizona is a beautiful place, although we don't have nearly as much culture as Hawaii does. Depending on what part of the state you're moving to, there's a lot of people here who'd love to help you out. Welcome!

I live in Mesa, Arizona. It is a beautiful place with wonderfully warm temperatures the whole year through. June and July get very hot, but it feels great to jump into a pool.

Good Lord!!! Get ready for culture shock, big time!! Unless you are moving to Flagstaff or maybe Prescott, Arizona is a ghetto compared to Hawaii. Why are you moving somewhere you know nothing about...not very smart, unless it is out of necessity (family matters)..it is going to be a bumpy ride, good luck.

It's cold and windy in the winter. Hot as hell in the summer. But that in the Phoenix area. Prescott is a beautiful area as is Sedona. Flagstaff's elevation is about 7,000' and you get all four seasons.
