I have never had regular peiods since I started my period. I maybe had one very three months at first, then it was only about two times a year. I have went to the doc and they have put me on pills and they do work but I do not have insurance so I don't go regularly now. I am now 27 years old and have been married for A year and a half almost two. I have only had two periods and they were very light. I started spotting about a month ago and so I thought I was going to start my period, but I still have not. I Spot off and on mostly when I wipe only a little on a pad. I wonder what I should do. I do not have insurance and can not really afford to go to the doctor.

It sounds a lot like Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS). My periods were erratic like that since I was in high school. It was regulated by birth control pills. You should look into PCOS. Even if it's not what you have, it's very important that your uterus shed its lining completely at least a couple times a year. Not having a regular period can cause uterine cancer. You really should see the doctor. Birth control pills aren't very expensive, but the appointments are. Maybe you could go to planned parenthood and get the pills.

You do need to see a obgyn. Call the heath dept. or where you are getting your birthcontrol and tell them what's going on they need to know. They might know of some doc that you can see or programs that would help or pay for obygn visits.

Relax, you will find that most cities have a number that you can phone with health questions. Use the internet to find your areas number. If that doesn't help, then you might need to see a doctor.

The spotting may just keep occurring when you are stressing out about something. this is something to really try to get help with. there are places you can go that can help you for hardly anything at all.

Please check with your local Health Dept. they will be happy to help you and they have drs. there. It really sounds like you have a problem and may require a hysterectomy.
