Pat Boone was (is?) a singer (Moody River, etc..) whos mainline career peaked in the 1960's and early 1970's. His daughter (Debbie) also had a brief career in the 1970's -1980's. Pat Boone also starred in a few movies (for example State Fair with (I think) Ann Margaret).
He was a straight Christian and barely kissed the girl in the movies .. boy did he miss out on a lot of things.
He tried to revive his career in th 80's wearing rocker leathers and such but it never made it..
He prob. does game shows and Carnival Cruises now, but I havent heard about him in years.

You're right on both counts. He was a popular crooner and movie star in the late Fifties. Notable for such songs as "April Love." He also starred in the movie of the same name with Shirley Jones and appeared in a remake of "State Fair" playing opposite Ann-Margret
as his love interest.
But if you include Rocker. Christian Activist. Don't forget to mention
Style Icon. He was most notable for wearing "white buck" shoes, the regulation "Nikes" of the late Fifties teenagers.
