Polite and respectful. Dress well and neatly in public. Do not ask too direct questions about finances but also watch out you are not cheated. Even you must complain about something, do not show too much rash emotion jsut be matter of a fact and clear - then you will be respected.
Ukrainians like the other ex-Soviet countries citizens are rather cool and brusque on the street but incredibly friendly in social settings. It is easy to make friends, they are open hearted.
Take a trip in a "marshutka" that's a mini-bus, and you will see how every thing has a friendly communal feeling, in just the simple act of passing your 1 grievna bank note to the person in the seat in front of you, who will then pas it on and on until it reaches the driver.

Well Ukraine is an orthodox christian country.They are generally westernised.They follow the same rules and conventions as western democracies.So the decorum there is similiar to Europe
