what would you do if ur mother in law was a crackhead who just cant stay out of ur life

ok for those who think im just ranting about my mother in law heeres the real deal. her son (age 17) is mentaly challened it was from mal oractice he get a check for 9000 a month to pay for his care she put him in a home after starving him at the age of 16 he wieghed 38 lbs. the home costs 2000 a month she uses the rest on her addiction. for 6 yrs ive defended her to my husband then she turned on me when i tried to help with the intervention rehab thing.

he is much better now. the home has him up to 102lbs he smiles so much more now. i hate that hes in there but she has custody so theres really nothing i do. at least hes safe now

Talk to your husband if she truly is butting in and making your life hell. Give your husband an ultimatum. Tell him either she straightens up or shes out. He is married to you now! Tell him to cut the apron strings, be a man...and that u are his wife and should be his #1 concern.

ok I dont want to sound like i'm on her side but dont let the drugs be your excuse to ignore the issues she is bringing up, do the issues she butts in about have any real beef to them just because she on drugs doesnt mean she wouldnt feel the same about things if she wasnt this still is her son, seriously try evaluating the situation and pretend she didnt smoke crack what would you say then and would you have any real reason to bluff her off the way you do would you still have the gull to disrespect her if society hadnt led you to believe you should, sorry I just think its wrong to judge people for that kind of stuff and I can totally see why but its hard to say well your moms right we should pay her rent but because she lives in a trailer and is a hillbilly F((k her get it, goodluck Kim

Id say as a mother in law she shouldnt stay out of your life. She is part of the package, damaged or not. I would turn supportive to her. Kill her with kindness. No excuses from her accepted (of course), pray over her (in seriousness), overflow her with pamphlets and videos. Take her on field trips to nice hospitals. Either she will accept help, or get sick of you and leave. better she leave on her own than over drama fights.

Ignore her. Tell her to butt out. Ask your husband to let her know she's behaving inappropriately or tell her yourself.
If she doesn't respond to the above by acting better, get caller id and don't answer calls from her, never give her anything like money, lock the doors all the time, start being rude if you have to... the possibilities are endless.

I would stand my ground and get her *** out of here, cause I am a comitted for life person. I called the cops on my in laws, not so popular nomore, but me and my girl have a wonderful life, taking candy to the jailed in laws on sundays

Why does she want to be in your life? Is she lonely? Needy? Do you give her money? If she wants to be part of your family, she needs to clean up. Give her an ultimatum. Clean up or get out of your life. If she doesn't get cleaned up and still comes back, call the police on her.

How horrible, my heart goes out to you both i will keep you guys in my prayers. and the mo in law as well. Does she even realize what she has done to him? Tell her how she selfishly starved her own Flesh and blood to Death because of her disgusting behavior. Is he o.k. physically now/ how about emotionally? Please let us know.....

I had the same problem with my crack head mother in law. We moved 2 states away and she stopped bugging us.
