Doing my SIL hair this weekend and when I parted it, she freaked and told me not to worry about that section. She has been acting very weird lately. She had a 2 inch span of hair loss in one spot with new growth just below the crown of her head. No other hair loss on any part of her head.

Haven't heard of it. It would take some talent to be able to hit a vein in your head, especially if you couldn't see it.

I'm a nurse and yes I have drawn blood out of peoples heads before. This isn't a good thing that she does and I would encourage her to stop before she damages herself further.

is she under stress? my mom used to pull her hair out in one spot if she was stressed. i mean to the point of being bald in one spot!
