Moving is frightening. Moving is sad.
Moving is one of the most exciting and adventurous things you can do! You have to step out of your comfort zone of your old surroundings and really stretch yourself.
Moving is a fantastic way to learn more about yourself and mature into adulthood faster.
Like many of our hollywood or music celebrities ....you have a chance to reinvent yourself! Did you ever want to dare to try new clothes, new jewelry, hairdo or even music....but were afraid of what your friends would say?
Now is your chance to be and do anything you wanted before. Go to the school games if you didn't before. You get the idea.
You will be the new mysterious kid on the block that everyone will be curious about.
You can have fun with this if you think of it as an adventure and an opportunity for personal growth.
Good Luck!

It's not that hard to make new friends. Yeah, I've had to make all new friends at least four times, but I still kept in touch with the old ones. Try to do the same thing you did when you made your first friends - it obviously worked! (-:
Find people who share the same interests as you but also have some outside ones, so you can be introduced to new stuff. Another easy way to make new friends is to hang out with a really outgoing and social person. You can meet all their friends through him/her. Try to join a club or sport or something. That can also work. Good luck! Have confidence; it helps.

At first it was a little hard. But it got easy quick. To make conversation just ask people what its like there. What they do for fun or whats the school like, Then they will get to asking you questions about where you moved from and then before you know it you have loads of friends. It all starts with one word.

I moved to a new city in the 10th grade. It is tough initially, but, if you are friendly, people will be attracted to you and you'll make friends. Don't worry.

No, just be friendly. You will be fine. Dont try to impress others by doing things you normally wouldnt. Just be your self, you will make new friends. And you can keep in touch with your old ones via email etc....
