no chance. rugby is a lot rougher, and you guys don't have near as much protection out there.... less rules too.

Rugby is a much tougher sport and takes alot of balls to play. The tackles are brutal. I love it!!

Ive played yankee football at an American high school and it was honestly a joke. I mean there were big guys in the team but that padding just made everything not hurt. I found myself going into challenges that normally i would think twice about.

to sum up American football is for whimps and rugby is for men!

Apparently it is, I think it was Sky 1 that had a program on this a while back, they sent a couple of rugby boys over to play American Football and they found it hard work!

Rugby is a much better game though in many ways!

Rugby is much more gentlemanly. Manly yes, but as others have said, the things done in American football is rough, to say the least. Mind I have only seen parts of a very few games, but that was enough for me!

No no no no, i'v played rugby as a hobby and proffesionaly and i can assure you thats its one tough game, i'v also played American football on a semi pro basis, its for girlies in my opinion they tackle and stop, tackle and stop, its a bloody pain in the a--e. With rugby its constant tackling and for tough and fast men.

There are some far rougher tackles permitted in american football that are illegal in rugby so its 6 of one and half dozen of another.

And is basketball just netball for men?

And and, is baseball just rounders for men?

And and and, ice hockey, "jolly hockey sticks" for blokes, on ice?
