1. Does the team have to wear the same ones for uniform purpose?
2.Does the brand have the color your daughter wants?
3. What if your daughter ends up not liking softball, is it worth spending the big bucks for a pair of shoes she not going to be using?
4.Theres not a whole lot of difference for that age group anyway because she won't be allowed to wear metal cleats.

Mom,
The only time my daughter got anything other than the best WalMart has to offer was when she got the college scholarship. They paid for the shoes then!
I think WalMart sells the Rawlings brand, they are good shoes, just get ones that fit. I'll tell you this, (and we are not poor folks here) all 4 of my kids do some shopping at Goodwill. There have been good cleats purchased there fo a couple of bucks!

The brand is not really important as long as she feels that they are comfortable. I personally like Nike cleats just because they're comfortable and they last long. Just go to a sporting goods store and have her try on different ones, she might feel more comfortable with high top cleats or low top cleats. They should be able to help you further in the store.
I hope your daughter has fun playing, I know I do!

Just make sure they are comfortable for her. Take her to a shoe store and let her try on a few pairs. Should be room enough for her to test the ankle support there before buying. ( Eastbay and other shoe catalogs are great, but you never really KNOW how the shoes(this case spikes-cleats) are going to feel on your feet.
Brand doesn't matter, comfort and support do. Nike, Reebok, New Balance , all doesn't matter if they don't fit right.

To me it really depends on how much you want to spend....me personally have never really cared for nike products because who wants to spend over 100 bucks for shoes, but if its the in thing and thats what she wants they are good cleats... I have 5 boys that all play baseball and football and I have always went with Addidas or Eastons for baseball......My oldest son has had the same pair of Addidas for 3 years now and he plays every inning, and they run about 50 bucks or less. Again it is all depending on how much you really want to spend or what she likes......Have her try on some different brands and see which one she thinks is the most comfortable and flexible when she jumps and runs in them......Hope's this helps!
