massage therapy is a good and profitable job in my opinion. First you get to get in touch and help people especially those in stress and you tend to be helpful in a caring way. I heard last night in the news that massage therapy now needs to be certified and taken as a serious course and i very much agree to that. I myself is interested in learning and be certified , I do know how to do massage therapy but just based on experience and I hav ebeen entertaining the thought of gettign a license for it.

Usually it takes 10-12 months to become a licensed massage therapist. Most states require certification. You will be educated about the body, types of massages, techniques, etc.

You can earn about $65 for a 50 minute session.

What is nice about this job is you can choose to work for someone, or work for yourself. If you purchase a massage table you can go to client's homes and charge more, and not have to worry about getting a percentage.

Good luck.

I think it would be a great job. You get to help and meet people at the same time. Also have the perk of getting paid to do it. You must have strong hands, its harder than you would think. Pay is any where from 45 to 85 an hour. You must take your taxes& insurance out. If your working for another not yourself I would think you just name your price and they will let you know what they think. It takes money and schooling to get started. Good Luck.

Because many health insurance companies pay for it now, usually thru a chiropractor, it has become popular. People really don;t want to pay anymore because of this.I go every 2 weeks and all my therapists are broke. Not sure if a good career choice. Talk to some therapists.
