If the reset button does not work, I'd then try re-installing the printer drivers ...may well be corrupted and not allowing information to be correctly transmitted to your PC

Ya need to post a little more info then that.
What kind of printer, what have you tried doing to fix the problem, are you sure the ink cartridge is right for your printer?
If you havent done anything, did you remove the blue sticker over the cartridges contacts? Did you try shutting off your printer after the ink cartridge was installed?
Does your printer have a reset button? Does your printer have a button that shows if the ink cartridge is empty or running low? Did you try restarting your computer, then try to print what you wanted to print again?

It depends on the printer.
First, remove your new ink cartridge, did you remove the little strip of tape
on the back? If no, remove that and re insert your ink cartage.
Then cancel your print jobs that are waiting or pause them.
Then turn your printer back on.

Another possibility is the use of "rebuilt cartridges" - they work but with most, the replace ink light will keep blinking.
