Why are Native Americans so unfriendly?

Do they have any reason to be happy? Look at their history. If you had your land and worldly belongings ripped from you after intentionally being infected with smallpox, and were sent to the desert to live, would you be happy?

Why are some whites unfriendly? why are some blacks unfriendly? why are some Asians unfriendly? I really don't see what your point is every race has some unfriendly and some friendly people. I know a lot of Native Americans, they were very friendly, even though they had they're beautiful culture and land taken from them. They still manage, and are friendly.

I have a personal answer. I can be sittin in one spot and someone will always ask me what I'm mad about. Actually I'm sitting there quite content and very mellow, so I would have to guess it's the facial features that make some of us just look that way.
Also, sometimes I am angry. When I think of the past, heards of Buffalo as far as the eye can see, no longer here. Smoke stacks belching toxic smoke, killing everything it touchs. The rapidly diminishing open land, polluted waters, toxic air. And on occasion, the white people took our land, killed our ancestors, brought disease. Then put us on reservations and forgot about us and when you did think about us, you give us money that we can't use. Instead our young, loose the old ways and their pride, they have nowhere to go and nothing to do, so that money buys them booze and drugs from the others. Again, you steal from us, only now it's the lives of our young. Try out one of our schools and see how much you think you will learn there. My people are still an embarassment to this Government and this society. The remark, "The only good Indian, is a dead Indian", lives still to this day.
To be correct, I am not a Native American, I am an American Indian and my Ancestors have been here for thousands of years.

Well, I'm friendly and damn funny too. Indian people have a great sense of humor and really know how to have a good time. Why don't you try getting to know some Indian people before making a statement like that? I know people of every color who are unfriendly, not just Natives. It has to do with personality not race.

It's a difference of point of view. I have known many Native Americans. For the most part they consider being together a very important social activity. They don't really talk much or have 15 different activities going at once. They like just being together. For other people this seems a little dull and boring. If you haven't been asked to leave then from their perspective they're being friendly.

I dont think that I would be very happy if I was living in a trailer park, with no running water, no real expectation in my life and only state benefit to look forward to each month.
It might be a good idea to start changing the wrong done INSIDE the US before chasing after an ideal world in Irak or Afganistan.
How about helping that French speaking Algoquin tribe in Gaspesie, who is forced to send their kids away because their rez does not have any safe facility or school. I bet their parents would be a lot happier and smily to become a family again!!

I'd love to know where you get your idea that they aren't happy? Hey, if you got YOUR continent stolen, then had the US govt give you a TOTALLY RAW deal and have to get stuck on reservations, all the while watching as your country is polluted and overdeveloped, would YOU be a happy camper? No.

I'm surprised they aren't complaining more. After all, you don't see them petitioning the govt for restitution, do you?

I don't know of all native Americans being unfriendly, have driven through any red-light districts lately...there you will find the most friendliest women and gay transvestites.....LOL...a stupid answer for a stupid question.

Imagine if the terrorists suddenly swooped down and completely took over the USA and put us all out on land that wasn't good for farming or anything. Would you be happy?
