done the same thing? When everything went all rap and R&B, I bailed. How long until this whole "urban sounds" thing plays itself out?

Good for you! Top 40 music today is artistically barren, and hip hop sends the worst possible message to folks, especially kids.

Its not really that I'm pulling away from the "urban sounds" its just I'm pulling away from the horriblle lyrics so its really the fact that a lot of rap sounds the same jus makes me stray to punk music for example.

I guess I personaly never realy liked the Main stream and so in about grade 7 I started to listen to underground ****, I found old school punk and I've been in love ever since, lol. Ska's good too. I have nothing against rap, but if you start making an *** of yourself or being irretable, your gonna have people who aren't going to want to watch it.

I certainaly don't like it. Its full of contradictions. From not wanting racism and then calling people cracka's to complaining about the corrupt daimond industry, and then go and wear 24 carrot daimond earings, lol. Its just a dumb fad and will die out soon.

MTV seems to control the Sheeple for as long as possible then change to something else to keep their dull minds paying attention.

Lame.

Hopefully soon. What all these little teenage girls that love these songs don't realize is that the majority of this music is completely degrading towards women. I refuse to listen to anything that glorifies the idea of women as prostitutes.

This can be true about any type of music but these genres are the worst offenders.

Well really, anything that you hear on the radio is the same to me, r&b, punk rock, pop, all that popular sh*t is what people wanna hear. The rap that people think is garbage isn't played on the radio, also the heavy metal that people think is garbage isn't played on the radio either.

The radio only plays "civilized" music, like R&B, Pop, some Punk rock, light rock.

Anything that has to do with, drugs, violence, prostitution, or just sounds annoying like heavy metal, wont make it to the radio.

I have.. I used to only listen to new popular stuff, but now I am all country. The new music that is coming out now just seems to be retarded and dirty. That's not what I like.

i'm offended that you would call that stuff r&b. it may be urban-like but it definitely isn't true r&b.
