Can text messages be charged with long distance fees?

Question

Are there any cell phone companies that charge/may charge long distance fees for text messages only?

I know there are roaming charges, but I didn't know if long distance fees apply to texts as well.

no, theres no long distance fee, only txt messaging fee, for incoming and outgoing txt msgs. rate depends on network provider.

For most cell phone carriers they charge 10 cents per message sent or they have text messaging packages in your cell phone plan but I know for sure if you sent a text message internationally, you will be billed a higher rate for each message sent, but there won't be any long distance charges, just only for the message sent internationally.
