Congrats!! Yes it's normal to have a few minor twinges. It scared me in my first pregnancy. If you are not sure about it, definitely ask your doc about it. Better to be safe than sorry. Good luck

Do your ribs hurt because you have been throwing up????
That does happen.
As to pain in your stomach, it's just your uterus stretching out.
Your body is going through a lot of changes.
It is nothing to worry about.
If it hurts you really bad then make an appointment to see your doctor to get checked out to make sure everything is fine. If it's just a little pain/discomfort then that is completely normal.

Are you sure you aren't mistaking the rib pain for acid reflux (which can be common in pregnancy) or heartburn?

The sharp pains are growing pains...your uterus is expanding and needs space. The muscles are growing so it'll be a little sore

It's normal to have pangs and twitches, but if you're in intense pain you should probably speak with your doctor about it. Pregnant women are at a higher risk for gallstones, which left untreated can become extremely painful.

But pregnancy can be pretty uncomfortable in general. Try to stay comfortable and congratulations!

Mostly those pains are from your growing uterus and your body stretching for preparation of your growing baby... aches and pains seem to increase as the baby grows... hips ache, leg cramps, lower back pain, even pain in your breasts as they increase in size.

If it is something that is keeping you wake at night consult your MD and also document the times that seem to trigger it more intensely, ie: exercise, walking, sleeping, etc.

Best of Luck to You.. Chrissi

Some little twinges and aches and pains are normal in early pregnancy and some are not. You really should ask your OB if this is serious enough to be bothering you.
