It is not recommended to get into the habit of mixing medications with your child's food. If your baby doesn't finish a whole bottle, how do you know how much vitamin supplement he got.
It's a minor second step, but do the medication separately

I am not sure why your doctor recommended vitamins? I don't believe that they are necessary for your child and your milk should suffice. However, because every child is different and he/she did recommend it as a professional, then I would consult them about how to administer the vitamin. Usually the nurse will help you if you call and ask and it certainly wouldn't hurt. Best of luck.

Why is your child on vitimins? They are NOT needed. If your dr. told you it's because your breast feeding they are wrong, that will give them ALL THEY NEED!
