Here is a general way to solve a problem like this.

The composite numbers are those numbers that are not prime numbers. The prime numbers cannot be factored down further. They are numbers like 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, etc.

So you list the numbers from 1 to 80 (or whatever number you have) and take out the prime numbers. This leaves the composite numbers.
