I just recently bought a '06' Kia Rio what can I do to get more pep out of it? I am not good with working on cars so I need simple inexpensive things I also dont wanna void the warranty(I know its only a little car I cant really expect to make it a fast car but I would like a little more power from it ,better acceleration)

There is very little you can do.
Sorry but that is the truth. If you really want to, you can throw money away on "ricer" mods like fancier spark plugs and yellow plugs wires that do nothing.
If you want a straight answer, the best that you could do with that car short of a turbo/supercharger would be add a cold air intake, a performance header and a full exhaust system. That could squeeze another 15 horsepower out, but you are looking at around $1000 for all that.
Technically none of that can "void" your warranty. No matter what the dealer says.
Google "Magnusson-Moss Act"--- The law is on your side here. The manufacturer cannot deny you warranty coverage because of modifications, period. If something fails under warranty, the burden of proof is ON THEM to prove your mods caused it, if they want to try and deny you warranty coverage. That is the LAW.
Therefore, you put an exhaust system on your car and your window regulator fails and the dealer tries to deny you coverage, you just print out the Magnusson-Moss Act for him, bring it in and tell him to kiss your a$$.
The best thing to do with this particular car, honestly, is just enjoy it the way it is dude. There ARE NO SIMPLE INEXPENSIVE THINGS THAT WILL MAKE IT FASTER no matter what anyone tells you.
Just take care of it. You are lucky enough to have a brand new car. Enjoy it for what it is. Appreciate it and be grateful. Don't waste your money on octane boost and tornado fuel savers and other cheapo things that will not make it faster. Trust me.
You might try going to a Kia tuners site if you want to know more about doing the intake/header/exhaust--- that is your only bet for some measurable gains at a reasonable cost.
Here is a Kia tuning forum to look at:
http://www.streetkiaz.com/
Keep in mind, there will be some retards there that will tell you a $25 cold air intake is going to give you 50 hp. Ignore them. Stick to the people who know what they are talking about. Ask THOSE guys what they do on Kia's as far as intake/header/exhaust or I/H/E.
Good luck.

You could take your car to a mechanic and ask them to put in a different chip (that will modify the way your computer talks to your engine). The chip will change the engine timing, etc. and give you more performance. The engine is basically an air pump, so improving air flow will improve performance. A better air filter and a more free-flowing "cat back" exhaust system will improve performance and not void the warranty. Good luck with your quest.

Sell it and buy a car made for "pep", a Kia is basically a no name car brand, it was made to be cheap and to be run cheap, there are little to no preformance parts for it, i think all i have heard that they have for it is a K&N air filter.

The Japanese hydrogen car runs on hydrogen on demand. It does not have a large tank to store the hydrogen. It makes it just before it is used. When the car stops the car stops making the hydrogen. It's a lot safer than a car with a full tank of gasoline.

to be honest i'm not sure you can do an awful lot to a kia, without it costing big.... they're not exactly tunable cars....... but i would suppose going out and buying a k&n air filter, and checking around for high performance wires, spark plugs, etc may help slightly. but if you really want a big imporvement, its going to cost a lot.
as they say, "Speed costs money... how fast you wanna go?"

Try getting A bigger exhaust with (a) blast pack(s) this should give it up to 20 or 24 extra horses and as far as acceleration goes get a better transmission

Weight reduction, Acetone which I do not reccomend as you will pollute the enviroment and quite possibly blow the engine if not that nullify your warranty.
