The earth has raised by one temperature, some of you may think,"One temperature isn't gonna kill us all" but many things have changed. For instance, the ice glaciers are melting and polar bears are rapidly decreasing..I want to know you're side.

Are you serious, it is more than a big problem. From glaciers, to polar bears, to birds that dont migrate because their migration is regulated by heat, the list goes on. They said that 3-4% of the atmosphere is destroyed, what if 10 % is complete death for all living things? We as humans have given ourselves too much credit, there are things that we have no knowledge or control of!

We've gone way too far.

Yes pollution is bad. Yes recycling is good. But we aren't the cause of the hurricanes or even the temperature change (which is less than two degrees). Weather cycles are spiracle meaning they go through cycles on their own. In medieval times during the plagues temperatures rose, making things worse. Then around the 16th century they fell, hence the Little Ice Age. We have proof all through history that Global Climate Changes in an on going thing. I am sick to death of being beat over the head about something that we have nothing to do with.

If nothing else I thought the fact the earth supported dinosaurs in a tropical environment, then got cold and had woolly mammoths and now we live here in a moderate environment would be just a tiny hint. Most people would know this if they had paid attention in history class! Most of this is some cracked pot UN agenda. I hear the new leader Mr. Moon is an upstanding guy and he might spend less time on global warming and more on stopping genocide.

From 1931 to 1939 the temperature was hotter than it is now. Sone of the highest temperatures ever recorded was in 1936. It got so hot and dry that the Midwest dried up and blew away. The eastern states was covered in a dust cloud. Al Gore hadn’t invented global warming so they called it the “ GREAT DUST BOWL. “ Have anyone seen the Midwest coming by your door?

Don't fall for all the global warming doom and gloom stories. Man has been predicting environmental doom for decades. Remember Erlich's Population Bomb. The world was supposed to be plunged into worldwide famine back in the 80's. Billions were supposed to die off because the planet could not sustain us. Did it happen? Al Gore claims to be an expert but never presents factual scientific evidence to support his claims.

No less than 4 times in the past century has the media sounded the alarm about climate change. First it was global cooling, then global warming, then cooling again, now warming again. Do you sense a pattern here? We go through cooling and warming cycles, and the media jumps on it and tries to scare the hell out of us. The global temperature has been cooling since 1998. In about 10-15 more years, the alarmist media will notice that we are going through another cooling cycle, and sound the alarm again about global cooling.

Also realize that some 'greenies' want to limit the use of fuels to inhibit 'green house gases' - this means that coal and petroleum will not be allowed. Yet they don't propose any alternatives. Nearly all the electrical energy produced in this country is generated by coal and fossil fuels.

The current plans of the extreme environmentalist will destroy the economy and liveable conditions in this country. Yet, there is no attempt to make China and India reduce carbon emissions, just the current industrialized nations, especially the USA. China and India are two of the greatest polluters.
Is the climate changing, yes, do we know why? Probably not, because ever time a true scientist presents research that the greenies disagree with or it doesn't fit their agenda, attempts are made to discredit the scientist and his research.

ps: Polar bears are NOT decreasing. Their is more bears now than 10 or 20 years ago. Their living space is just decreasing.

I agree.... Its debatable whether humans are even influencing global warming. Every 11,500 years, the earth goes through a major extinction with a global warming and cooling phase (ice age.) Paleontologists are able to track this through soil samples. We may actually be headed into an ice age because we are coming to the tail end of the current cycle. The problem is that the media and politicians get focussed on a piece of the puzzle and try to simplify this issue. Don't be fooled. There is probably nothing humans can do. Even if we could, there is no way you can control China who is becoming a major world polluter. Humans will need to adapt to climate change. Where I live there are small changes in our weather pattern, but nothing major. A lot of the media is hype to sell newspapers. The only caution is that some past climate changes have been more radical, swinging wildly from hot to cold. Others have brought on instant and severe cold conditions. I know the area that I live used to be buried in hundreds on feet of ice, but temperatures are mild today... Humans will just need to wait and see what mother nature brings and adapt as necessary.

The earth has been warming & cooling for billions of years..
It will contine to warm & cool...The weather changes...
Man may now be making some contribution to these changes.
So what...It is a tempest in a teapot...
Man will adapt to the changes..
So what if all the polar ice melts ?
So what if the sea level rises 20 ft. ?
Low lying land will flood....People in lowlands will have to move..
The sky is not falling...We are not doomed...
Don't worry, be happy....

Global warming is kind of a double edged sword. forst it will cause more drought leading to more fires. The fires will cause more carbons into the atmosphere. Carbon in the atmosphere causes less sunlight to penetrate and warm the earth. So therefore we should be looking at an ice-age sometime when our grandkids have grandkids. You will see some strange weather though.

I am very worried, not just concerned. However, every time I bring it up in conversation with friends, family and co-workers, I rarely get similar responses. I am convinced that we will have major changes to the world as we know it within the next 50 years or even fewer. Is there nothing that can be done to change peoples attitudes. I believe that at this point it is too late to change the course we are already on.

Good thing I live up the hill the water won't reach me for a while... (just kidding)

We should stop the global warming, NOW!!

And it should start from our government without any delay!!

Why is God doing this to us? First he takes away the four corners of the earth and now he is taking away the glaciers, and the polar bears. lets blame it on god... and then suffer in his wrath... people just don't realize that thier farts do stink, but not if they beleive in god.
