I'm a teacher who will be starting an after school literacy club. We will be reading books, and incorporating different literacy skills like vocabulary, comprehension, story elements, etc. into each book we read. Any ideas on some fun names for my club? I'll have 2 different clubs - one for 2nd and 3rd graders, and one for 4th and 5th graders. I'm having a hard time coming up with anything but "Book Worms" and "Hooked on Books" So if there are any ideas out there please share! Thanks!

I really like both of those, but it will be very hard to get a 4th or 5th grader to go to a club with either of those names. Name it something simple , like the book club.

Book Worms is a great name for the younger set. Maybe you could try something with a pun or some word play for the older kids...they like things like that. We have a used book store in town called Final Draft with a horse as a mascot...maybe a wordplay like that...

I think Book Worms works for the younger group. What about Reader Leaders for the older ones?

God bless you and your club. This is a great project. Maybe this is something you could ask your student participants and offer a prize of a book to the winner.
