Why am I better at singing when I am just doing it, when I want to , am actually feeling the emontion that is expressed it in the song, or goofing off rather than when I am asked to?

I sing really good in all sitautions but I am much better when I am feeling the emontion, why is that?

i sing too. umm well you actualy just answered your own question, your feeling the emotion. The human mind works better when they are not under pressure and they are comprable vs. when they are understress as well as your body. You can tell your body to sing whenever you want to but you cant tell your body when and how to feel emotion really. Im like that too. Just try to connect to what your singing. If need be take a minute to think about what your singing before you sing and maybe relate to it so that you are a little more comfortable anyway.

I am a singer too. When you are performing for others it is good to pretend you are alone. Also, you need more experience performing in front of people to get over the anxiety. You want everyone to hear what you can really do, so belt it out and show off a little!

If you sing a song that you like and feel that it ties to you emotionally, you most likely will sing it better. If its just some random song that your friends asked you to sing, you might feel pressured into singing it and might not do as well.

You have to bleed a little while you sing or the words don't mean a thing.

Well when you do it on your own you aren't under any pressure.
