traveling--carring the ball

double dribble--dribbling with both hands or picking up the ball and then dribbling

personal foul--pretty much contact with hands

flagrant/intentional foul--hard push/shove/hit...

offensive foul--

techenical--running of the mouth, lol

charging--knocking over a player...as long as the other player's feet is stable before he is hit...other wise it would be blocking foul

offense/defensive 3 in the key--standing in the key for 3 seconds

over and back--going back court aftercrossing during one possetion

a player has 8 or 16 (if high school) seconds to get the ball across court...5 sec.s to get the ball in bounds

kicking the ball

jump ball--2 players are trying to gain control of ball

5 personal fouls an have to sit bentch

2 technicals and ejected

throwing something into crowd, getting into serious fight--thrown out of game

thats all i can think of

Only the pass directly before the score may be counted as an assist, so no more than one assist can be recorded per field goal (unlike other sports, such as ice hockey.) A pass that leads to a shooting foul and scoring by free throws does not count as an assist. so if the guy dribbles mor ethan twice it wont count has a asssist.

the first site below is the official NBA site and has definitions and descriptions of all the rules. The second site has pictures of every possible thing a ref can signal...not just fouls, but all the signs used.
