but i have a tall family so i expect to be tall(mom 5'10, dad is 6')
and he has a very short family but he is the only tall one including a short twin sister. i was wondering why this is and if it will affect our final adult hieghts we are 16 almost 17, like if i will be taller or if its just a guess on who will be we both havent grown in a while also

Your mate might have a tall relative that he could have inherited a gene from. A mate of mine has a son that is well over 6 feet tall and is only 14 years old. My mate is barely 5'8'' and so is his wife. It is not uncommon for a smaller couple to have tall children. That is the case with a lot of the people in my family.
