I believe!!! and i also don't think that people should just believe in God like an insurance policy, just in case he exists as they need to have strong faith in their hearts and a want to live as free from sin as possible. However, we can never be without sin and the great thing is that God will forgive us if we ask.

Great question. Yes, I too believe. I have grown up in a Christian home but have also had a chance to compare the lives of those with Jesus and without and know that without Christ one is completely lost. I have also experienced real testimonies of healing in my own life and have come very close to death on a number of occassions only to be saved through the prayers of my parents (there was no time to get me to hospital first). Besides this creation speaks clearly that there has to be a Creator and history (not just the Bible but also ancient historians) prove that with the words that Jesus said He is either liar, lunatic or Lord, not just a good person as many like to believe. I believe that there are many proofs for the Lordship of Jesus but this would probably take a number of essays or books to cover and I don't have space enough here.

I believe that there was a dude named Jesus and that he walked among us a little more than 2000 years ago. I believe he was a good man and that he taught some very important lessons.
I do not believe, however, that he would approve of the current state of "Christianity"...especially the "born-again" type. I think Jesus is turning in his grave when he sees all these bigots making a mockery of his teachings.
Jesus preached love, forgiveness, charity to the poor, and peace. These are wonderful things and Jesus should be celebrated.
All too often, however, Jesus's name is invoked by those born-again Chrisitans who endorse war, violence, hatred, bigotry, intolerance, and selfishness. This is a shame.

Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God...i believe this, but i cannot explain that belief in just a few words, and i certainly don't see the matter as it may be presented in a "church", my experience is different than that...hell is of our own making for a very large part, and the 4 horsemen are God's servants bringing us out of the hell we have made for ourseves here on earth...i don't know what is in store when we leave here, it is presumtive and foolish for a person do so, because we just don't know. and there is no book that tells us for a fact what it is like over there. "What Dreams May Come" with Robin Williams is a good one about this, especially if you have some artistic bent.

Jesus was just a man like you and I. He was just very evolved and above the ordinary. There have been other men and woman that have lived like Jesus. That's why there are more than one religion. The gifts that jesus had were extraordinary, but we all have the same potential within us. That is what the purpose of Jesus was. He was a teacher and a fine example. But he doesn't live on earth anymore! Noone should become obsessed with Jesus for fear of going to hell. Who knows what happens when we die and who cares if you believe in jesus or not. He isn't the be all and end all.... don't be so ignorant. Believe in yourself with all of your heart ... I say, you are god.

A lot of people attend church as habit. They have always done it for their entire lives. There are people who truly believe. There are people who dont. There are people who believe in other religons and other gods or no gods at all. Everybody is different. I think then when people of other religons die, what happens to them is what they believe in. Like the people who believe in rebirth, whos to say when they die it doesnt happen they just go to heave, a place they dont know about? Whatever somebody believes in is what will happen to their souls for eternity.
I believe in God and Jesus and Virgin Mary and Joesph. I read the Bible and believe in it. I dont do this because of habit but by choice. We were put on this Earth to find ourselves and what we believe in. Everybody goes through the phase of self-actualization and finds themselves.
Everybodies beliefs and customs are different and as children of God we need to respect and observe them all and not push one belief upon them.

i dont believe jesus is the son of god.
"Wouldn't you rather believe in the Lord Jesus with all your heart and to serve him graciously and live eternal life after you die?" its really not that easy. you cant just choose lightly that you are going to believe one way just because of the "benefits". if you are going to believe then you should actually believe.

I believe in Jesus the Son of Man., I believe in the Great Mother and the Great Father, whose union created the Universe. I believe in Allah, the Holy Spirit, Brahman, whatever you want to call the Great What-Is that fuels the physics of the Universe. But I think that every person needs to believe in their religion, whatever it may be. If you are going thru the motions without faith, then you need to re-evaluate the importance of religion in your life or find something that moves you to the core of your being...

You are preaching your beliefs and you say you do not care what anyone says if they do not agree with you so this is not a question. You are preaching and that is all you are doing. If people have faith that is great but this is not a forum to expose your beliefs so I will be asking that this post is removed as it is not really a question in my opinion.
I happen to believe in a higher power and I choose to call him God but I do not feel I need to make people listen to what I believe on here.
Some people believe in Buddha, or Mohammad, or their pet gold fish but it does not belong on here. Go find a pulpit and preach by don't do it here.
You will just push people away.
Peace.
