I know an organization which has an effective training program to prevent this. It also trains children to face the realities of the world in a positive manner. This training program should be started from 10 years and the idea is to CATCH THEM YOUNG. This program has more than 2000 exercises for this age group. It has produced excellent results among the children who underwent this program. But due to lack of support from schools the organization which runs this program is unable to take this program beyond a point. My question is, are there ways to raise funds for this program so that these Children can be trained for a positive-filled future and can face life confidently?

I would be very suprised that the suicide/murder problem wasn't a direct result of bullying which sadly is not illegal in the UK. There are no specific anti bullying laws here.

what an awesome endeavor.
Why dont you see about attending some grant writing classes.
THere should be plenty of funding available once you (or the members of that program) learn how to write a grant for your program.
Our state offers these classes for a nominal fee.
once you are there you can talk to the instructors and they will point you in the right direction regarding specifically who you need to target in your state.
*****Another option would be to modify your target audience just alittle bit. If you do that, you could go and talk to either a judge or a juvenile probation officer (supervisor) in your town.
THey might be willing to have your group put on a few classes for free and if all goes well, the would do the funding for you.
They are always looking for alternatives to traditional punishment for minor offenses. If you market it this way, the funding would come directly from the department of justice (or whatever they call it in your state). Since you would be working with a specific group a more VALID study could be used to evaluate it since this target group would have already shown some agression tendencies. If it works, people will be beating your door down to replicate it.
GOOD LUCK, imagine how many lives you could have saved if your program would have been in effect prior to COLUMBINE.
Keep this in mind if/when you get rejections.
THIS program is VERY needed in ALL schools!

Yes, they can. Of course, in our culture we've made any mention of God or prayer in schools sound like something evil to our school children, but ever since 1962 when prayer was banned - suicide, murder and other sad things have been on the increase in our schools. Where the bible was once used as a textbook - it's now banned literature but we're free to teach them Islam and all other kinds of things that are totally religious like the theory of evolution and we teach those things like they are facts. Gosh - if you were convinced you evolved from a mud puddle and were given condoms and never given the opportunity to even consider that there might be something more to life - as a young person raised under our present public school system -- had depression and all kinds of trouble thinking up my own brand of morality. Just the thought that all of life is meaningless - could lead a person to anxiety attacks. But, as long as that is what we're teaching - that's the kind of kids we're going to produce. It's very sad that the public school system is only open to things that will hurt rather than help. One of the things this organization could do would be to partner with another organization that is doing something similar. Check out this link:

You could run bake sales and yard sales and all kinds of ways to raise money. Just get the info out when your doing these things and people will attend. i know a place that takes in donations of old stuff people want to get rid of then holds a big yard sale to make money for there cause.
