What are sojme emo bands and what does emo mean? I hear about them all the time and have no idea what it is?

Dont get the wrong impression of emo people/bands.
Theres absolutely nothing wrong with them, so im just telling you dont get wrapped up in all the controversy. Ughh. But emo stands for emo-tional. They usually have piercings and black hair covering their eyes. I suggest walking into the store Hot Topic. Most of those bands are considered "emo".

As for emo bands, maybe Fallout Boy or My Chemical Romance qualify.

ok avenged sevenfold is not emo but they are good
emo is a short word for emotional
and all the emos in bands express their feelings through music

some emo music could be Senses Fail or Hawthorne Heights and Emos are people that more than likely have hair that the bangs go over there eyes and they slit their wrists at least that's what they say, but they're pretty much gothic without the excessive black and makeup.
