Or, if a real good friend did that, and you said that you would visit him/her. What incentives would you need just to visit?

Or if a friend did that. What incentives would you need to visit him/her? Now aside from the obvious, (already having a job, housing, etc) the question is asking, if people told you they would come and visit, and you already knew that they probably wouldn't, What incentives would you need JUST to visit a good friend 10,000 miles from home. Let's say that money isn't a factor either.

First I would not need any incentive to visit a good friend that moved to a foreign country. If one decides to up and move to another country I would hope that they did their homework and made arrangements for a job and living there. Also, hopefully they know the language. There is nothing wrong with moving to another country, many people do. Some of the incentives would be as mentioned jobs, maybe "your friend" has a skill where there are many positions available in another country, maybe "your friend" has some medical problems and moved to a country that provides socialized medicine. There are many reasons, the main one is that he/she is their own individual and made their own choice to get on with their lives, hopefully to better themselves.
