i was just watching sportcenter and they said dickie v is going back into coaching hes taking a job as an assistant at gonzaga

An ASSISTANT?
It almost sounds as if he wants to just do it part time because he misses working with the kids and wants to be involved at the college level again.
Makes no real sense. Has to be a "want to" kind of thing.
At least this way, he isn't saddled with having to recruit and he can just focus on specific coaching duties at a top level D1 team.
I suppose he gets the best of both worlds?
Otherwise, it makes you wonder if something else isn't going on in the background at Gonzaga.
Weird decision.
