i dont get the point of tht movie??but the songs r really good..

Because the story was not written properly and the direction was not gud. the song r really tooooooooo good.

This is a film about weak people who have faults. It bears a shockingly politically correct & socially tolerant message that even if you are frustrated, troubled, maniac, deep in complexes & a psychological parasyte, you stiil have a right to be a part of society. You have a right to live and be happy.
In real life, these seemingly spineless people who are always tormented by one thing or another with no apparent reason are actually the ones who benefit at the expense of those who are stronger & know how to adapt. They are manipulators.
Love is a great pretext to hurt people who only wish & do you good. It is an excuse to do what you will without considering what the others feel. Then you say, Oh, but I am in love! You have 2 forgive me!
Excuse me, is love a mental malady? Does it make you handicapped? The rest of the world is still out there, love or no love. This is a hypocritical display of egoism. People pretend to be pitied for being passive aggressive.
Nature has it that the strongest & the healthiest survives.
Modern society has it that the psychologically strongest & healthiest suffer the most (eg, characters of A&P).
Misinterpreting democracy has led us to the situation where a self-obsessed cruel capricious freak (usually a prude) with a twisted understanding of existence will screw up the lives of all the normal people around him & they will take the blame for it willingly.
Emotionally, the characters of A&P were beaten black&blue all over. They were psychologically raped punished for being better people than their spouses.
It is high time to stop using the banner of love, a precious & sacred emotion, to get away with anything you want.

It wasnt that bad. Except Manish Malhotra has to stop putting Abhiskek in coats with different coloured lapels.
Also I got the feeling that the actors wanted to under play some of the scenes but were encouraged to be these totally larger than life characters by the director. I really like Abhisheks performance and his character in the film but two scenes really bothered me....the one where he is dancing because hes happy his wife was jealous of him for the first time....the idea of the scene was good but should have been handled better..that was very over acted..but not Abhis fault I would say that was him doing what he was told by the director.
And the scene where Priety and Abhi walk down the street proclaiming to the world that they want to be single...REALLY overacted and a very silly scene...not in a good way.
I must admit I had to watch it three of four times before the power of SRK and Ranis love story really impacted me and only then did I feel like i was seeing the film in 3D and not just looking at it at face value.
The point of the movie is that it is a love story. But not your traditional love story. Just as you have black comedies this is a black romance - or to describle it another way.. a romance with a sad edge to it. Because the two main leads have come into their romance though a journey of pain and hurt. Pain that they'e experienced themselves and also the pain that they both feel as they know they have caused hurt to those who said that they loved them (but still never understood them.)
Not until SRK and Rani get together do they realise they have each found someone that truley understands them. Both the happiness and the painful side of life - its a sadder but more realistic relationship I think.
But thats my difficulty with the movie. It tried to portray love in a realistic way but then there were these really big over the top, over acted scenes which seemed contradictory to the plot line.
Having said that though I still enjoyed it, and the songs were great.
Abhi please lose those awful upturned collars - its not 1983 and youre not Michael Jackson performing in Thriller!

The story was good but somethign that most Indians wouldnt agree with as most of them still consider that once married, it is a sin to fall in love again. Also the movie was directed by Karan Johar who isnt familiar with such an adult topic and the performance of SRK and preity zinta was crappy and also the movie was made with too much of a humorous touch to it. These are what I think the problems are.

becoz it had srk ,karanjohars direction and srks thrills and this story encourages divorce i agree with RIN ,everyone says this is happening in india a lot sp. in mumbai but instead of showing the imp. of marraige they have totally ignored that if every couple starts falling in love with someone else then what is MARRIAGE for?????
real stupid movie... i m surprised how did mr. bachchan ready to act in asubject like this...

bcuz Priety Zinta tried to look like like a Barbie doll.
But she cudn't.
She is fine otherwise.
Both Preity n Rani took to plastic.
I hope they read this n dont try it in any other movies.
Otherwise, the story of the movie was fine but becuz KJo(Karan Johar) is not used to such adult n mature things, the direction was poor.

Because SRK was married to Preitty...then he gets a divorce to go with Rani.......( that was so Stupide)SRK should had tried to save he's married.God! He even had a Kid.Rani should had stayed with abhi because they made a nice couple..but she reuined it all...

i agree that the movie was not as good as shahrukh's other movies.. but the ones who r saying that the movie was bad because shahrukh was in it .. they are just stupid..lozers.. y would u watch it if u dont like shahrukh.. get a life freaks..what r u people infront of shahrukh.. ur not even worth his shoes

even i didn't get the movie. it was just stupid. it was crappy because the story was stupid. where SRK and rani like each other even though they are both married. the songs were really kewl though!

in kank there is no message to people.i had expected a lot from karan johar his films like kkhh khnh were nice but k3g & kank were not so nice kank is too horrible bcoz of srk
