OK i am having a physical exam and my friends are saying they stick a fake dick up your vagina to see if your haymen is still there. Is this true? or are they just mean and are lying? PLz help i am in urgent need!!!!!

Yes they do that in the state of Pennsylvania and the northern states

NO no no! They do not do this! If the doctor does a pap smear then a speculum will be inserted into your vagina in order to hold it open so the doctor can take swabs with long cotton swabs to take cell samples. These samples are to check for any changes or concerns with the cells of your cervix. The doctor is not looking to see if your hymen is intact. The procedure is an important one for your health. It is pretty much painless (sometimes there is a pinch from the speculum) and some find it somewhat embarrassing. Just try to remember the doctor does it so often that they think nothing of it - it's just another procedure. Check out this website for a description of the procedure.

Also be aware that many doctors also do a procedure where their fingers are inserted into your vagina with one hand and the other hand presses down on your tummy to feel your ovaries. No, that's called rape inserting ANYTHING into the vagina w/o consent...your virginal condition is no ones business at all & is not a part of the medical exam. Do you know how many girls claim to be virgins?? and the hymen can naturally tear even if a woman has never had sex!!
Nowadayz your gyno has an assistant in the room during the exam for this very reason.
O! and if u really R a man, don't go to the gynecologist, you need an urologist!! your snap doesn't fool ANYONE!!

First of all, the hymen is actually located on the outside of the vagina, you could see it if you looked with a mirror. Check out http://www.coolnurse.com/hymen.htm for info on that.
What your rather mean "friends" are probably referring to is a speculum, which is a little contraption that opens you up a little so the doctor can have a look at your cervix with a light, and take swabs for a pap smear. The speculum is actually smaller than most guys' penises.
If you haven't been sexually active and you still have a hymen, they generally won't use a speculum at all, and may just insert a gloved finger and press against your tummy to feel that everything is where it is supposed to be.
It's all kind of embarrasing, but it's not painful.

Your doctor can tell whether you have your hayman without sticking a "fake dick" up your vagina. It's visible. And consider this... If your doctor was to do that, bursting your hayman in the process, what would be the point?

okay.. they don't do that because physical exams have nothing to do with if your still a virgin or not. the only sexual thing they talk about is if you have ever had sex or not. sticking a fake dick up your vagina would just be wrong.
