We are in the tenth grade. I have alot of classes with an annoying boy that wont shut up. He easedrops on my conversations and is a @ss in general. Sometimes he jokes around with me and smiles. My friend John and I were working on math and annoying boy yells those two are going out which isn't true. He also had me help him with math problems and was going faster work faster. At the end of the class I asked him are you trying to be a pain in the *** or does it come naturally. His response naturally. The other day he was laughing in the band lounge and said he doesn't hate me and can tolerate me. We sometimes get along like I said but he is usally an ***. If he can tolerate me why is he so mean?

Well, for one thing, he's mainly mean when other guys are involved, so he's jealous. Also, if he says that you are "going out" with John, you probably say you aren't. That's mainly what he wants to hear and he gets you to say it by being stupid.
The other thing is that young men have problems dealing with their emotions. They are taught to be strong and tough. Saying you like a girl isn't strong and tough in their minds. In their minds its being a sissy.
Basically, he likes you and this is how he is dealing with the problem it is causing inside him.

Why? Apart from a shoulder to cry on what else do You need "Universal Love" and the unabashed respect of Your fellow human beings? So what if he doesn't like You, is it really going to send You off to a monastery for the rest of Your life. At Your age the world is a pretty hostile looking place. Ask "annoying boy" if He is as rude and as stupid as He acts. Do so in front of a group of other students who don't particularly like Him, tell them to laugh when He replies. Then ignore Him. If ever He asks for Your assistance with schoolwork just say "no thanks, I don't feel like playing Your silly games today", then walk away. Simple, isn't it?

This guy really wants attention. Sounds to me like he's just trying to make himself look cool in front of others. I'd just leave him alone. Tell him to leave you alone. And if that does not work, then tell him that you will report him for harassment. This takes guts to do, but I'm sure you have them. You're a smart cookie. He's the one that lacks the chocolate chips.

This guy could be one of two people.
A.) He is trying to get your attention because he likes you. The shaky logic behind it is that if you see him, you will see that he likes you, which is generally not the case. You could ask him if you like him, or you could just tell him not to do this and that you don't like him.
B.) He is one of those egotistical self centered idiots that just wants attention. These people try to validate themselves by getting approval or attention of others. They are deeply insecure about themselves. Just try to tell him this and make sure he understands.
I know some people just like this guy sounds.
