In March 2003, I started to loose my pubic hair from around my genitals. The area has been completely bald for around 3 years now and I feel very insecure about it. I feel too nervous to visit a doctor as I do not feel comfortable showing my genitals to a complete stranger. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and how they have coped? I have several ideas, including glueing hair to the area... this is how desperate I am! Please help!!

Please note that I would never glue my own hair to my pubic area... thats a bit weird. So far, I have tried a variety of types of hair but I find cat hair to be the most realistic.

I haven't heard of something like this on someone's genitals, but a good friend of mine had a virus or medical condition that caused large amounts of the hair on his head to fall out, so thins isn't unheard of. I would certainly talk to a doctor, though. That's what they're there for: to help you with medical conditions.

I know you might feel insecure about it, since you don't have any control over it, but when life gives you lemons, make lemonade. I, personally, keep my genital area completely shaven; I find that a decent amount of ladies prefer men that way. No one likes hair in their mouth ;)

Seriously, though, I wouldn't fret so much of it, and visit a good doctor. If he or she can't help you completely, they can point you to a specialist or at least explain why this has happened.

Hey I say all right. As a female I prefer this to a giant patch of fur. It makes things nice. You don't have to tell anyone that you lost it naturally. Make them think you are freaky and shave. Yeah Baby.
