Why s religion so importnat to a person?

It seems like one way or the othr most of the humna beings in happiness and most of the time in sadness tends to seek comfort through the religion. Religion also became flash points in politics, human nature and what not.....................
Please discuss human nature point of only. No mud slinging on any religion.

I don't find "religion" important.Jesus is the way the truth and the life no man come to the father but by Him.

It's a personal experience. It's like an interpersonal relationship that never ends. You never argue.
