I really think that would be considered "zero tolerance" -- as assault with a simple weapon. It may not be anything intended to be a weapon, but neither is a baseball bat, kitchen utensil, pen or pencil, etc., and kids will be expelled for assaulting a teacher in any fashion with those kinds of items.
(At least that is true in Tennessee, and the expulsion is permanent, unless the courts agree that the child can be taught in a special court school under very strict disciplinary guidelines.)
Personally, as a teacher, I appreciate the tougher standards for kids who assault teachers. It's hard enough to teach new concepts and ideas to young minds every day without having people like you throwing things at us and endangering us as well as others in the classroom.

i'd tell you, "get the hell outa my class you little juvenile delinquent." you could come back if you apologized to me and the class, and stopped being such a snot. why you so upset? teen years suk, but you're laying the groundwork for a lifetime of developement. you need to deal with things in a cool and intelligent manner, need to learn how to deal with people.
good luck.

"You and your parents have just won an exciting trip to court!"
In my state, school officers write BIG tickets! It also depends on the nature of your stupidity.
Two of my former students have now traded in their "stylish school uniforms" for a bright prison orange.

It depends on what kind of mood the teach is in. The least you would get is detention; at worst you'd have assault charges filed against you.

"You're about to be arrested!"
At least that's what I'd say, because that's aggravated assault! If he wants to push it through the principal, dean, or resource officer, you probably would wind up in jail or juvenile detention. As you should!!!

punky will
I've had my fill
of punks like you today
I think I'll go
take a stroll
and let off some steam and play
a new game of truth or dare
to keep me occupied
so that when i knock you on your butt
the medics will know why

I think he would say, "Get out of this room right now and go to the guidance office. I'll call them and tell them your coming." That's what I think.
